Renthal Launch Their Privateer Support Program

7 30Am Race Day. Only mechanics and photographers are lurking the pits this early on a rainy World s morning. The eternal choice... cut or full spikes With monumental rain overnight dries are out of the question.

Since their entry into the MTB market a couple of years ago, it's fair to say Renthal have made a bit of a splash in the MTB world, sponsoring riders like Sam Hill, Fabien Barel, Brendan Fairclough and Troy Brosnan. Well now it's your chance to join that list (at least if you live in the US it is). They've just opened up a privateer support programme for anyone racing any category of MTB. We'd like to see people destroying their local XC races with big 780mm bars and short stem...

In their own words:

bigquotesRenthal are well known for sponsoring the world's fastest racers, with riders like Sam Hill and Troy Brosnan in downhill mountain bike racing, through to Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey in MX. At Renthal we know the equipment you race on is just as important to you as a privateer as it is to a factory supported World Cup rider. In recognition of this need for the very best equipment and to assist US based privateer athletes we are now accepting applications to gain support for your 2012 season. Subject to acceptance, we offer a broad range of support packages, with the assistance level based on your race result history and the category in which you compete.

The Renthal support program is open to anyone based in the US and competing in any form of mountain bike racing or BMX racing. All you need to do is follow the link below, fill in an application and upload your resume to www.renthalcycling.com/support.

Also, check out our recent review of their Integra stem.

As usual Brendawg manages to find something else to jump that no other racer is doing.

A legend s last run. The race circuit will miss Fabien Barel the best ambassador downhill has ever had. Look at this photo and realize this multiple time world champion is racing with 4 broken ribs ont he toughest track of the year pushing himself to the absolute limit to go out in style. Heal up and enjoy some time off the bike Fab.

 Angered Canadian's and Brits,
To explain why this is a US only program; It is purely down to logistics. In the US we have a retail warehouse facility which can service an amateur support program. As we don't have this facility in any other country, then we can't offer this elsewhere.
We know that it is hugely important for us to have a presence in Canada, but we haven't found the right distribution partner to make this happen just yet. We are working on this and will have this resolved as soon as we can.
Thanks,

Email and ask for support. They are great guys and willing to help teams.
The British army downhill team has been sponsored by them last year and continuing it again this year.
